Link & Thrive is a business community for women entrepreneurs, founded by Chef Rene Johnson. This policy explains what personal information we collect through thelinkandthrive.com and our membership, how we use it, and the choices you have. 1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or interest form, we collect your name, email address, and anything you choose to write to us. When you join, we collect your name, email address, business name, and the details you add to your member profile and the member directory, such as your industry, services, phone number, website, and social media accounts.
Payment information. Membership payments are handled by our payment processor through our website platform. We see your name, plan, and payment status. We do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site uses cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your login, and show us how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, browser type, and general location. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site, like the member login, may not work without them.
Meetings and events. We do not routinely record regular member meetings. We may use the note-taking or summary features built into our virtual meeting platform to capture key points for member recaps. Photos and video may be taken at community events, as described in the Membership Agreement.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• answer your questions and requests
• run your membership, including billing, renewal reminders, and account notices
• list you in the member directory with the details you choose to share
• send you community updates and news about Link & Thrive (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email)
• keep the site secure and improve how it works
• meet our legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.
We share information only:
• with members, through the member directory, using the details you choose to share
• with the service providers that help us run Link & Thrive, such as our website host (Wix), our payment processor, our email tools, and our virtual meeting platform. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
• when the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our members and community
4. How Long We Keep It
We keep your information for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable time after, to handle billing questions, keep required records, and resolve any disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You can view and update your profile and directory details by logging in to your account. You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any email. Account and billing notices will still reach you while you are a member.
If you live in California or another place with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and to ask us to delete it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email linkandthrivepartner@gmail.com.
6. Keeping Your Information Safe
Our website platform stores data on secure servers and encrypts payment information. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit who can see it.
7. Children
Link & Thrive is a community for adult business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will let members know by email.
